Meeting 3 2026 (30 September)

We will be reading Katie Mackinnon, "Critical care for the early web: ethical digital methods for archived youth data", Journal of Information, Communication and Ethics in Society, 2022, 20(3): 349-361, available via: https://doi.org/10.1108/JICES-12-2021-0125. We will be joined by author Katie Mackinnon for the discussion. Katie is an Assistant Professor at University of Copenhagen, where she works on the research project Data Loss: The Politics of Disappearance, Destruction and Dispossession in Digital Societies. She researches web archives, internet histories, and social media platforms, and engages with critical feminist ethics of care methodologies for web archival research while exploring social, infrastructural, and policy issues of the internet.
